This is a faithful reproduction of the Broadcaster pickup. Originating from 1948, before the introduction of Telecasters into production, it had a very distinctive and characteristic twang, nasal sound, and large sustain. Leo Fender® called it "The Broadcaster". The STL-1b faithfully reproduces this beloved vintage sound thanks to its wide and flat pole pieces. Compared to the Vintage '54, the STL-1B has more power, and a rougher midrange. It works perfectly in Country, Country Pop, with Chicken-Pickin’ technique, in rockabilly, blues, and blues rock.
